Happy New Year 2025
This is a Uberti I re-cut the barrel to close the cylinder gap, trimmed the ejector housing, beveled the cylinder like a black powder variant and NITRE BLUED the cylinder, barrel, ejector housing, cylinder pin and bushing. My process came out stunningly darker than the stock Uberti finish did.
A BOWEN Classic Revolver with a set of two piece Desert Ironwood grips I made especially for it.
A 3rd Gen Colt SAA that I beveled the cylinder front.
I get asked often to widen the flutes on a 3rd gen but the original cylinder has long flutes and after doing such it looks like an Italian/Clone cylinder.
So when I can I recommend the customer opt-out of doing the wide flutes.
3rd Gen Colt SAA with one piece Elk antler grips.
The rear sighing groove and “V” of this 1st Generation Colt SAA was fitted with an amateur windage adjustable, crude, sliding piece of brass. Here’s a ‘getting there’ of my first weld and filing. Most times two passes with the wire are needed to build up enough.
This is a USFA FSS with a custom set of Alasks DALL SHEEP HORN grips. The material is wonderful to work with and looks magnificent.
